The purpose of the study was to locate springs in the Waterpocket Fold, Wilson Mesa, and Orange Cliffs areas of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. From the springs identified, a few were selected for analysis to establish their baseline chemical character. Future changes in water chemistry caused by human activity can then be better identified. The localities for 13 springs are given, and several tables give details of the chemical analyses. Appendices give site description and vegetation inventory (scientific names), and comparative data from a 1979 study. Bibliography.
