This report evaluates the possibility of obtaining an adequate water supply for the headquarters area of Captiol Reef National Park from a ground-water source. It then compares the cost of developing a ground-water supply, extracted from a well in the Coconino sandstone, with that of a surface-water supply, taken directly from the Fremont River, for the present and future demand of the Monument. Tables presented in this work show the chemical analysis of water and the geologic strata in the headquarters area.
