With a Congressional mandate to rehabilitate logged land in the Redwood Creek basin, erosion control and revegetation were begun in 1978. This report describes work at one 160-acre location from August 1, 1979 to May 1, 1980. The report describes techniques used and evaluates major aspects of erosion control work (heavy equipment work, sediment collection system, revegetation work, cost-effectiveness of contract work, and more). Four tables show costs; the 20 figures are mostly black-and-white photographs, with some drawings and maps; the appendix gives grass seed mixtures used on 4 different types of land.
