Watershed rehabilitation plan : Environmental assessment : Redwood National Park : Del Norte and Humboldt counties : California

Redwood National Park. 1980. Watershed rehabilitation plan : Environmental assessment : Redwood National Park : Del Norte and Humboldt counties : California. National Park Service, Denver Service Center. Denver

Extensive rehabilitation of logged land added to Redwood National Park in 1978 was part of the Congressional mandate. The plan outlines restoration for land along Redwood Creek to minimize erosion and to encourage re-establishment of natural characteristics. The Environmental Assessment contains the same introductory section as the plan, followed by proposed actions and alternatives, and environmental consequences of each. Contains some of the same illustrations, including a large folded map, 'Redwood Creek ground disturbance and erosional landforms' (5/80; see separate description in this database). The restoration is expected to benefit the watershed and its resources, with adverse impacts being short-term and not significant.
