Weights of Rocky Mountain elk

Dean RE, Thorne ET, Yorgason IJ. 1976. Weights of Rocky Mountain elk. Journal of Mammalogy. 57(1):186-189

Since 1967, employees of the Wyoming Fish and Game Department have live-trapped and weighed Rocky Mountain elk during the winter months. These weights of live elk have allowed the authors to determine growth curves that reflect weight changes between December and April of succeeding winters.
