Interviews were held with 400 visitors at the end of the loop in Cades Cove, July and August 1983. Mail return questionnaires were analyzed to obtain visitor views and preferences. Most visitors were not very knowledgeable on wildlife management, but approved of the park's policies. Among the recommendations were providing more wildlife habitat, subdividing some fields, adding wildlife loops and quiet walkways, more pull-offs, and increased wildlife interpretation.
