This internal U.S. National Park Service report describes a winter 1985 aerial survey of moose performed in the Telaquana Lake (trend zone 1) and Chilikadrotna/Bear Creek (trend zone 2) areas of Lake Clark National Preserve. It also contains information from an October 1984 survey of the Kijik/Miller Creek area (trend zone 3). Of the 452 moose observed in the three areas, 20% were calves, an increase from the 1984 average of 15% calves. Productivity in the three trend areas was considered good.
