A total of 560 woody plants are listed for these 16 national parks included in the "western" national parks region. This report is based on field observations and plant collections made during a vegetation survey carried on under the direction of the Division of Forestry of the US National Park Service. Shrubs are included in detail in this guide, as well as a key to the trees of the area. Flora of trees and shrubs in western national parks (Olympic, Mount Rainier, Crater Lake, Lassen, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon, and Isle Royale). Includes line drawing illustrations. Includes an index which lists scientific and common names. There is no index by park, but each plant's description includes the parks where it is found.
