Animal observations were conducted in the Falls Creek area to assess the impacts of a proposed hydro-electric project in the vicinity. Mammals observed included black bears, moose, wolves, coyotes, brown bears, marten, mink, and otter. The proposed hydro project design requires two road crossongs of major game trails in at least two places, which could potentially alert or divert black bear movement between upland habitats and the shore. Otherwise, studies did not point to any other major direct impacts of the proposed project on mammals.
