The number and activities of all breeding and non-breeding seabirds associated with South Marble Island were investigated during mid-May to late-July, 1999. Most observations were made from the island; additional observations were made during transportation to and from the island. Data were collected on the presence and numbers of all seabirds observed. Detailed information on breeding chronology and productivity were also collected for glaucous-winged gulls, pigeon guillemots, black-legged kittiwakes, and black oystercatchers.
