A small mammal survey was conducted on Prairie Management unit no. four. The purpose of the study was to evaluate species composition, determine home range and population density. The area had been previously burned, disced and reseeded in the Spring of 1982. A second buring took place during the course of this study. The alteration in habitat was observed. Sigmodon hispidus, Peromyscus leucopus, Peromyscus maniculatus, and Mus musculus were all encountered.
