This study was made to determine which species of large mammals were present at George Washington Carver National Monument. Direct sighting, trapping, and signs were used to determine that the following mammals were present during the study: Didelphis marsupialis, Sylvilagus floridanus, Marmota monax, Canis latrans, Canis familiaris, Vulpes fulva, Felis catus, Procyon lotor, Equus caballus, and Odocoileus virginianus.
