FIELD WORK: 1994.Inventoried amphibians, reptiles, mammals, forest communities, and vascular plants on park lands on Schoodic Peninsula and on Navy lands on Big Moose Island and the Corea Heath area. Report summarizes efforts and species found during this inventory effort. Nine species of herptiles were found, 31 species of mammals, and 442 species of vascular plants. A total of 10 state listed rare plants and one state listed rare mammal were reported. Voucher specimens for mammals and amphibians were collected and were deposited at Acadia National Park Headquarters; vascular plant voucher specimens were placed in the herbarium at College of the Atlantic. Appendix 2 lists amphibian species collected in the Schoodic Peninsula study area; appendix 3 lists the trapping location and measurements of mammal voucher specimens, appendix 4 lists the locations and measurements of all small mammals captured and released, appendix 5 lists the GPS coordinates for study sites including small mammal transects, drift fence, and forest plots; and appendix 6 lists additional information on the non-native vascular plants found, including the invasive potential of each species.
