Biannual reports for the long-term coral reef organism monitoring project. Analyzed the photostations for cumulative percent coral cover, relative abundance of each species of coral, number of coral species, and cumulative coral diversity. Includes reproductions of the photographs (composites of 36 photos), a list of species and data sheets. This is the second biannual report on long-term monitoring of coral reefs in the Biscayne National Park (Figures 1 & 2). The first report (submitted 15-July-1989), presented data from line transects conducted in April, 1989 on two reefs in the park. In addition, that report provided a manual and a computer disc for analyzing line transect data. This present report presents data from photostations also established in April, 1989 at the same two locations. Likewise, it includes a manual and a computer disc for digitizing photographs from coral reefs. A special emphasis of this present report is a comparison of the data acquired with the line transect mehtod and the photostation method.
