Coyle J, Anderson P, Nelson M. 1997. Preliminary Report of Findings of the Contaminant Assessment Process for the Congaree Swamp National Monument. US Geological Service/Biological Resources Division. Fort Collins, Colorado

In 1996, the Biomonitoring of Environmental Status and Trends (BEST) Program of the US Geological Service (USGS) Biological Resources Division (BRD) conducted a contaminant assessment program (CAP) at Congaree Swamp National Monument to determine any detrimental impact attributable to environmental contaminants. The report focuses on the quality of surface water and air transport pathways as observed at potentially contaminated areas (PCAs) to confirm the presence of contaminants and/or their effects.
