A daily record of a foot search during the winter, 1990-91, to study the bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis) in Canyonlands National Park, Needles District, between Lower Red Lake Canyon and Indian Creek, following years of disease in this area, to determine the number of sheep, overall health and composition of observed herds, general range utilized by each herd, and to locate any sheep easy to reach for blood samples and to fit with radio collars. Report includes recommendations for future monitoring.
