Reconnaissance involved 550 km of coastline, beginning at Mitrofania Island , proceeding toward Sutwik Island, and Ending at Chignik Island.Colony locations were mapped. Population estimates were determined for a number of nesting species. Marine mammal observations were also noted, including: sea lions, seals, sea otters, and walrus.
