Avain surveys of the Arrowhead, Yakutat district, Wrangell-St. Elais National Park and Preserve, were performed in conjunction with an on-going vegetation study. Bird species lists, habitat type, and behavior notes were kept 8/17 - 8/25/92. A total of 12 habitat types were identified. The dominanat avian habitat types on the Arrowhead were of two general types: unvegetated substrates; and shrub scrub. Within the 12 avian habitats, 40 bird species were identified.
