This paper presents a summary of wolf movements determined through radio-tracking between 1996 - 1997. This study was, in part, designed to examine effects of subsistence and sport hunting and trapping on wolf population dynamics in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. The study area was located in the northwestern portion of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve and encompasses approx. 2150 mi2. Ten wolves were captured and tracked. Density, reproductive success, and mortality for wolf populations in this area were estimated.
