The objective of this monitoring project are to: 1). establish photo and point quadrats around the South Farallon Islands 2).develop an intertidal species inventory list for sessile organisms 3). determine percent cover of algal groups within the quadrats 4). complete a general characterization of the island's intertidal areas 5). provide a baseline of data that may enable NOAA to determine damage to intertidal resources in the event of a human-caused perturbation, such as an oil spill. Report includes plant and animal species list.
