The 1142 species in the life-form spectrum in GRSM is similar in pattern to that of the rest of Eastern North America. The high elevations are also similar, except that dry-climate species are less. The cove hardwood forsts have a higher percentage of geophytes. The flora is similar to that of Southern Ohio.
