Sitka National Historical Park initiated the Alaska Water Watch Program on Indian River in September 1999. As part of this program, students from local schools have trapped juvenile fish in Indian River to complete periodic stream reach surveys. This report presents the activities and results of the field work completed between September-December 1999 under ADF&G Fish Resource Permit No. SF-99-101. A map of Indian River dam and diversion fish trapping locations is provided in figure 1-1.
