‘This resources management plan is intended to be a working guide for the management of the resource of Hovenweep National Monument. It is designed to be used by the Superintendent to meet the legal mandates outlined in the presidential proclamations that created and expanded the monument as well as other legal mandates. The purpose of the plan is to describe the nature, significance, and condition of the monument’s natural and cultural resources. In addition, it summarizes the management actions that are needed to preserve and protect these resources via project statements.’
