Monitoring Two River Otters on the Colorado River in Early 1988

Boschen N. 1988. Monitoring Two River Otters on the Colorado River in Early 1988

The author monitored a pair of river otters in the area of the confluence of Salt Wash and the Colorado River, on or near the boundary of Arches National Park. There had been no documentation of otter presence on the Colorado River in Utah for a few decades prior to this report. The author collected track and scat evidence, documenting these in some detail, in part in order to aid further otter studies in their recognition.
