The objectives of this study were to determine habitat use of breeding, post-breeding, and migrating species of birds in the Noatak River basin. A total of 225 different sites within Noatak National Preserve, and 37 sites within Cape Krusenstern Natioanl Monument were surveyed. At each location were recorded the habitat types present, species and the numbers of birds using each habitat, the site elevation, and behvior. An annotated list of bird species included.
