Memo from Charles Lean, Area Management Biologist to Art Nelson. Regarding fish surveys of the Northern Seward Peninsula including the Mint, Pinguk, Serpentine, Goodhope, Inmachuk, Kugruk, Kiwalik and Kauk rivers, as well as the Buckland River system on September 10 and 14, 1996. Chum salmon were observed in the Mint, Pinguk and Inmachuk rivers and a spawning coho salmon was observed in the Kiwalik River. Other rivers were stained with tannin, making observation of fish difficult.
