This article attempts to document reports of marine turtles in Alaska waters from 1960 to 1998 through information compiled from museums records, correspondence, interviews, questionnaires distributed to fishermen, biologists, and school teachers in Alaska coastal communities, field notes, newspaper articles and reporters, and biologists and records in the herpetological collection of the National Marine Fisheries Service Auke Bay Laboratory, Juneau, Alaska.
