Biotic Communities of Kaibab Plateau, Arizona
Rasmussen DI. 1941. Biotic Communities of Kaibab Plateau, Arizona. Ecological Monographs. 11(3):229-275
Animals and plants may be considered together as a biotic 'association,' or community. Although the animals are mobile, they still coincide largely with particular plant communities. The study was undertaken especially because of interest in the variations in numbers of the large native animals and in human effects on both flora and fauna of the plateau.
