Geomorphic and sedimentologic characteristics of alluvial reaches in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Monument, Colorado

Elliot JG and Hammack LA. 1999. Geomorphic and sedimentologic characteristics of alluvial reaches in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Monument, Colorado. Water-Resources Investigations Report 99-4082. United States Geological Survey. Denver

Geomorphic and sedimentologic data was collected at both Warner Point and Red Rock Canyon in the Black Canyon. These data and hydrologic data from upstream were used to determine the entrainment potential of large range of sediment sizes on various fluvial geomorphic surfaces.
