Two weeks of active field work at Mt. Katmai during August 1977 were spent to better understand the hydrologic-glaciologic budget and balance of the Katmai caldera and to monitor changes in geothermal activity. Photogrammetric measurements taken of Mt. Katmai during this study provide a more accurate estimate of the lake-level elevation in 1951 than previously available. The author presents a revised table of lake-level changes that incorporates this data and other new results. Increased upwelling and overall increase in sulfur and turbidity in Crater Lake indicate a possible increase in geothermal activity.
