During summer 1990, water quality parameters were sampled in 13 lakes within Gates of the Arctic NP&P in the central Brooks Range, Alaska. The study was conducted to: 1) gather baseline data on park lake waters, 2) test newly acquired equipment, and 3) as a pilot study for a 3 year water quality project scheduled to begin in 1991.
