The occurrence and habitat characteristics of three ferns are documented from South Manitou Island, now part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, MI. They are the Northern Holly Fern (Polystichum lonchitis), Walking Fern (Camptosorus rhizophyllus), and Green Spleenwort (Asplenium viride). Map indicates the general distribution of these ferns in Michigan.
