This document summarizes bird observations made by a park ranger-naturalist in and near Katmai National Monument, including the King Salmon area, between February and September 1967. The author maintained daily field notes; the main body of the report consists of an annotated list of the 127 species (124 within Katmai itself) recorded. Thirteen species were recorded for the first time in the Monument during this period, bringing the total number of bird species known to occur in Katmai to 141.
