Some ecological effects of the introduction of a non-native weevil (Rhinocyllus conicus) in North America to control non-native thistle invasion were studied. Native thistles in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Colorado were observed for frequency of this weevil, frequency of visits by native flies, and seed production. Range expansion of the non-native weevil is given.
