The purpose of these surveys is to provide baseline data on nesting locations and reproductive success of cliff nesting raptors in WRST, especially in areas subjected to current or proposed mining or other human disturbance. With a large sample of nests and an adequate number of years of reproductive and occupancy data, we will be able to assess how mining and other human activities may influence the reproductive success of cliff nesting raptors. These data will provide managers with the information necessary to evaluate and mitigate mining and recreational activities.
