A fish survey of the Beaver Lake watershed of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, MI identified 25 species. Fyke nets, Windermere traps, minnow traps, and a backpack electroshocker were used August to November 2001 to sample fish in most tributaries of the watershed within Beaver Basin. Descriptions of the surveyed tributaries and two lakes are provided. Fish species found in the study are listed, including the first documentation of American brook lmprey (Lampetra appendix) in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Daily and summary data are presented. Maps illustrate the locations of nets and electroshocking efforts.
