Fecundity of the Big Bend gambusiaa varies seasonally, with a spring/summer peak, and less reporduction through late August. Fecundity of G. gaigei is size dependent with large females producing 50 or more young in peak seasons and fewer than 30 in late summer. The Big Bend gamusia occupy a stenothermal environment of 30 C.
