They experimentally transported Boreal Toads (eggs, metamorphs, and adults) from a stable natural setting to sites where they had existed historically in RMNP. They monitored the new colonies' reproduction and dispersion for 5 years. The objective was to determine effecive methods for successfuly relocating the toads. Though this relocation can not be considered a success, the experiment indicates that relocating egg masses appears to be the most effective method of reintroduction. The success of incubation was more than or equal to incubation in the donor site.
