Fieldwork was conducted in McCarthy and Bering Glacier quadrangles of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve from July 23 through July 31, 1996. Basecamps were set up at two localities within the park: one near Nikolai Pass in McCarthy B-5 quadrangle and the other near Goat Creek in the northern part of Bering Glacier D-3 quadrangle. Many different plant habitats were examined for up to several hours each. Specimens are deposited at the Herbarium of the University of Alaska Museum (ALA) in Fairbanks, the University of Alaska Anchorage Herbarium, the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve Herbarium in Copper Center, or all three.
