Documents several observations of Wilson's Phalarope on the mud-flats created on Columbia Island during the construction of the Memorial Bridge and the Mt. Vernon Memorial Highway. Also reports the collection of 2 specimens which were added to the U.S. National Museum collection and are believed, by the author, to be the first examples of this species taken in D.C. and Virginia.
