The FIREPRO crew was shared between Wrangell-St. Elias and Yukon-Charley Rivers national parks in 1987. While in WRST, the crew completed 68 ground truths in 18 field days in the Chitina District while stationed at May Creek from July 7 through July 25. Eleven ground truths were completed in the Tebay Lakes and Bremner River areas in 3 field days from July 26 through July 28. During the month of August, 80 ground truths were completed in 16 field days in the Yakutat District. Two permanent plots at Duck Lake and at Boulder Creek in Nabesna were studied on August 31 and September 1. A total of 216 ground truth sites and three permanent plots were completed. Ninety plant specimens collected at Yakutat were accessioned to the WRST herbarium. Eighty-four specimens were sent to the regional office for identification. Upon their return, 52 of the specimens will be added to WRST herbarium. A vascular plant species list for Yakutat District and species lists for five botanically interesting areas in Yakutat were compiled. Data from 1,107 ground truth sites completed in WRST from 1983 through 1987 were entered in a "dbase III Plus" database.
