Inventory of the plants in the Deep Lake Strand area of Big Cypress National Preserve. The report gives detailed techniques for quantitatively describing major plant community associations. A vegetation map has been developed to spatially depict vegetation types. Correlations between plant communities and elevation, soil type and hydrologic patterns are discussed. There are vegetation inventories of cypress-mixed swamp forest, oak-Sabal hammocks, Muhlenbergia prairie, pine forests, marshes, and exotic vegetation. A vegetation map is in the back pocket.
