Stream gage logs data on stage, precipitation, and temperature continuously and sends it through the GOES satellite systems to the USGS. It is then interpreted and discharge calculated, based on a rating curve. Data are posted every 4 hours to the website. Data can also be accessed from the USGS.gov homepage by choosing "real-time data."
