Reports results of study done on vegetation density and growth patterns in a Metrosiderros-Cibotium forest adjacent to and downwind of a proposed geothermal energy plant site in order to provide a baseline for future studies of potential harmful effects on park biota by the establishment of the plant. Tables give canopy cover, ground cover, frequency of epiphyte species, population distribution, rainfall vs growth, and other data for various species in the quadrants studied.
