This study looked at the endemic species of song sparrow on San Miguel Island, (Melospiza melodia micronyx), during 1985 and 1986. Topics include description of island, morphology and abundance, territory, nesting, egg and incubation, parental care of nestlings, nestling growth and development of thermoregulation. This document stated that current populations on San Miguel Island do not require manipulative management but awareness of introduced predators should continually be monitored for effects upon the song sparrow population.
