Report of the study of brown bears at Brooks River and two other rivers on the Alaska Peninsula. Observations occured from elevated platforms to record behavioral information and human activity in a systematic way. Bear numbers, degree of habituation, sex-age class, and behavior were compared within rivers at locations differing in human disturbance and competition between the bears for space.
