Carbon gain and water use in pinyon pine-juniper woodlands of northern New Mexico: field versus phytotron chamber measurements

Lajtha K and Barnes FJ. 1991. Carbon gain and water use in pinyon pine-juniper woodlands of northern New Mexico: field versus phytotron chamber measurements. Tree Physiology. 9:59-67

This article compares phytotron chamber and field-obtained gas exchange rates in pinyon pines (Pinus edulis) and junipers (Juniperus monosperma). Water potentials and net carbon gain were measured. Field data was collected at the Los Alamos National Enviromental Research Park, Los Alamos, NM.
