This paper evaluates the successes and failures of introductions of caribou in eastern North America and evaluates factors relative to the success or failure of these endeavors: food limitation, dispersal, predation, and disease. One paragraph states that this would be a good time for restoration of caribou to Isle Royale because of large moose numbers and low wolf numbers.
