Archeology of the Bynum Mounds Mississippi

In advance of constructing a portion of the Natchez Trace Parkway, near Houston, Miss., the Bynum mounds were excavated to prevent the loss of significant archeological remains. Studies of this material were necessary before the remains and the site could be interpreted to the visitor.
