Yellowstone Ranger Naturalists Manual
Yellowstone National Park, Toll RW, Fenner CN, Allen ET, Albertson HG, Ruhle GC, Haynes JE, Yeager DG, Arnold M, Kelly HM, Woodring ST, Joyner NF, Joffe J. 1929. Yellowstone Ranger Naturalists Manual
This is a collection of scientific and popular articles on the many features, present and historical, of Yellowstone National Park. The articles were prepared under the direction of the Educational Division by scientists and friends of the park. To these men we are deeply indebted for the splendid articles and great amount of research and work incurred in their preparation. The Ranger Naturalists Manuals are source books of information concerning Yellowstone Park. The articles are a condensation of material scattered through many books. It is hoped that each year a Manual will be prepared bringing together the results of the scientific and historical research carried on by the Educational Division. Your cooperation is solicited in the preparation of articles on the geology, biology and historyof the region for future volumes. It is hoped that the Manual of 1929 will be a value and inspiration for the guides and lecturers of this and future seasons, and that from these publications information will be obtained which will set the standard of the Ranger Naturalists Service on a still higher plane. -Roger W. Toll, Superintendent.
